Strength and Dignity Project in Mwanza, Tanzania

Strength and Dignity Project in Mwanza, Tanzania

Since 2019, Emmanuel International’s Strength and Dignity project in Mwanza has been transforming lives across rural schools and communities. What started as a vision to restore dignity, knowledge, and opportunity has now reached over 6,000 girls and boys, equipping them with practical skills, confidence, and hope.

Through wholistic training sessions, young people learn about puberty, menstrual health, hygiene, social responsibility, and spiritual growth. Girls who once faced barriers to staying in school are now gaining confidence, performing better on exams, and continuing their education, while boys are learning respect, support, and leadership—building safer, healthier communities.

The impact is encouraging! Local leaders report declining teenage pregnancy rates, and teachers celebrate students’ growing achievement and confidence. Beyond knowledge, many students are encountering the love and hope of Christ, deepening their faith and purpose. Together, this generation is learning to uplift others, strengthen families, and bring lasting transformation to their communities.
