Deuteronomy 6:4-5. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”
Martyn and Jill Hartley purposed in their hearts to serve God. Their initial service with EI was for 3 years. As they finished their service with EI, Martyn writes, “We wondered what God was doing but He had a different plan for us. The time and training at EI prepared us for a unique ministry which led us to evangelize Chinese people in Russia Ukraine and China with SEND International. We saw many Chinese and some Vietnamese follow Jesus in the nearly 30 years that followed. We had little training but we loved the Lord. Joining EI allowed us to step out for God and enabled us to serve our Lord. All the glory goes to God who has directed our path and provided for us since we took that first step of faith.”
